The cottage was built in 1756 in traditional Norfolk brick and flint with a thatched roof.
It features the original beamed ceilings and is furnished in a style in keeping with a traditional cottage, but with all modern comforts.
It was originally two cottages thought to be occupied by wherrymen and their families. The cottage was also used
The cottage was built in 1756 in traditional Norfolk brick and flint with a thatched roof.
It features the original beamed ceilings and is furnished in a style in keeping with a traditional cottage, but with all modern comforts.
It was originally two cottages thought to be occupied by wherrymen and their families. The cottage was also used during WW2 to house Wrens who operated the Y station during the second world war. Everyone knows about the role of the code breakers of Bletchley Park but the Y stations located the German ships and fed Bletchley with the coded messages.
The cottage sleeps 6/7 people.
Upstairs there is an ensuite double, a twin bedroom plus an extra single on a galleried landing.
Downstairs there is another twin and the family wetroom.
Parking for 3 cars.
Large garden, unfenced to the water on one side.
2 dogs welcome.
Sky TV inc. Sports and free WiFi.
The cottage is perfectly located for Fishing, Wildlife watching, Photography. Painting, Walking, Boating, Exploring the beautiful Norfolk countryside and coast or just sitting back and relaxing, watching the water go by.
